Features and Guide
Note: Things that differ in Hardcore Towns are in bold!
From top to bottom:
- Button "update my Zone":
Pressing this button updates the zone you are in with all data that is usable by the app. By using the die2nite plugins (chrome, FF), you can avoid needing to press this button here, and use the one provided by the plugin. Both don't work for hardcore towns, every zone has to be updated manually on the map by selecting the zone and clicking to update in FDTD.
- Town - Bank
Shows all items in the towns bank.
- Town - Constructions
Three filter settings, constructed buildings (not shown in hardcore); available buildings (those that the town has blueprints for, but haven't been built);and all buildings(ingame). The eyeball to the right toggles whether to show building details(build cost etc.)or not. Every building name is a link to the corresponding page on the die2nitewiki.com . The padlock shown at the "all buildings" filter tells you that you don't have the blueprint for that building.
- Town - Citizens
Shows from left to right citizen's : profession, name, zone he is currently(not working in chaos mode), activity(?), last update(by him on the map). By hovering with the mouse over an entry you are shown the citizen's soul score and distinctions.
- Town - Various
- Buildings in the world beyond.
Shows "has this building been camped successfully to gain the blueprint"(blueprint/ crossed blueprint), the building's name (either as a die2nitewiki.com link if someone entered that zone, or as a result of the scout's peaking ability), if the building was depleted (red x), if the building is buried (in AP), coordinates (this is a map-internal link, the building gets centered as if it was clicked). Hovering over a building's name lets it blink once on the map.
- Aaargh time
Shows the town gates status (open/closed) and how many citizens are in the world beyond.
- Water
Shows how many rations of water are left in the well, the bank, and the sum of both.
- Defense (not shown in hardcore towns)
Shows a summary of the tows defences.
- Horde Attack (not shown in hardcore towns)
Shows today's and tomorrow's attack numbers. "(not maxed)" means that not enough players have use the watchtower to predict the attack.
- Zone
This is the most important part of the map. By clicking on a zone, you land here. In hardcore towns, these Infos must be entered MANUALLY!!! The following informations are shown/can be altered:
- coordinates
- distance from town in AP / kilometres
- if the zone is a ruin
- ruin name(link to wiki), AP left to unbury, is it depleted, scout peek information, if it is a enterable ruin-a mapping tool, blueprint camping status, camping survival level, zone status (replenished/depleted), has this zone been visited TODAY, zombie count, scout-peek-informations, items on the ground, and who updated this zone last+timestamp.
It is vital for the survival of the town that the map is correct!
- Items
This shows items on the ground in the world beyond.
- search bar
Enter the name of an item (partially) here to get the current existing ones highlighted on the map and the "showcase".
- the "showcase"
Here, by clicking on one or several items, they get the current existing ones in the world beyond.
- "deselect all items"
Removes highlighting of clicked/entered items.
- Options
- Mark Ranges
This dropdownmenu allows you to highlight certain ranges, like the wind direction, the range of watchtower teleport etc.
- Checkboxes
Several checkboxes altering shown data on the map.
