Workshop's Tale - Part 1
Page 1
Our hero was born into the world without much fuss and came to rest in the Nasty Hideout of Losers, a town whose name he would not let be a stain on his life. Of a young age he worked tirelessly in the construction yard, diligently making sure his town would survive the undead horde, who come nightfall attacked without mercy.
Each night when the shambling masses came and all his fellow citizens were huddling under their covers our Hero was in the workshop busily pulling apart broken electronic devices and tinkering with the odd flat pack furniture to keep his mind sharp. All this gave our hero nimble fingers and quick as a flash anything not nailed down would be his, torn apart and remade into something to defend the town.

Our Hero could not relax, consumed with worry, night after night when all his fellow citizens where around the camp fire swapping stories our hero would be counting out the correct number of nuts and bolts needed for the next day’s defence against the ever swelling horde. He was no coward and though he lived in the workshop he also went forth through the gates many times.
In the wasteland our hero was ever searching for that glint of sheet metal or an old crate lid he could drag back to town and assemble to protect his friends.

Some found our hero hard to relate to, often cursing him and calling him rude, however our hero knew they had just been in the wasteland too long that it was just the alcohol, dehydration and drugs talking that was the problem, they would be ok in the morning he thought. But in the morning our hero was in for a surprise for a great mass of murderous zombies had been growing outside and now stretched as far as the towns scouts could see from the top of the watchtower.
They cried "There is no hope"

Suppressing his Fears our hero stood strong. Hammering, sawing, fusing and combining all he could find into weapons and defences.
"I can save this town" he muttered almost mantra like as he worked day and night.
